Carpet Page (yellow-green)

acrylic on board 92cm x 76cm

The circular forms may be images of the meaning encapsulatd in these universal symbols. The creases and folds give an inviting incompleteness to the activity of our seeing. The title ‘Carpet Page’ may be a deliberate reference to the full pages of abstract decoration used to introduce sections in Celtic and Insular manuscripts. RG
